ClickHouse Design Validation.
Schema, sort keys, query paths, and architecture decisions, validated against production load.
What it is.
A focused engagement where Quest1 engineers review and refine your ClickHouse architecture, whether you're evaluating, mid-migration, or already in production. We assess the decisions that compound over time: table engine selection, sort key design, partition strategy, materialized views and projections, ingestion patterns, replica topology, and the cost-to-performance ratio of your ClickHouse Cloud or BYOC tier choices. The deliverable is a validated design and a remediation roadmap, sized for the stage you're actually at.
How we engage.
Three phases. Each phase ends when its decisions are made and proven.
Virtual calls to align on objectives and scope; a tailored questionnaire captures infrastructure, workload, and operational context. The phase resolves when the questions worth answering are the ones we're set up to answer.
Quest1 engineers review architecture, data models, query patterns, and operational runbooks, drafting deliverables in parallel. The phase resolves when the gaps are identified and the validated design is established.
Onsite or virtual workshops with stakeholders to walk through findings and confirm the roadmap.
What you get.
Who this is for.
Teams who have already chosen ClickHouse, or are close to. Most useful when you're evaluating it against an existing OLAP stack, migrating from Elasticsearch, Druid, Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake, hitting performance or cost ceilings in production, or preparing a compliance-grade deployment (HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR).
Why Quest1.
We were one of the earliest services partners in the ClickHouse ecosystem. Pre-GA access, direct co-delivery with the ClickHouse engineering team, and engineers trained from first principles.
